Disapproval and Distrust Ratings of the 5 Highest Government Officials
According to the March 2017 Ulat ng Bayan Pulse Asia survey, among the 5 highest ranking government officials, Vice President Leni Robredo and House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez has the highest disapproval and distrust ratings.
While President Rodrigo Duterte and Senate President Aquilino Pimentel III got the highest trust and performance approval of the majority of the Filipinos.
The survey was conducted from March 15-20, 2017 with 1,200 participants of the face-to-face interviews. It has a margin of error of ±3 at 95% confidence level. For geographic areas, the survey has a ±6% margin of error at 95% confidence level.
There were political events and developments that become the basis of the respondents such as the Senate hearing where retired Senior Police officer III Arturo Lascañas pointed President Duterte as the mastermind of the Davao Death Squad. Also, the first impeachment complaint filed against the President.
