The identified suspect Bonifacio Asuncion was the man in the viral video that is circulating in social media.
In the video that was tapped by the girl passenger, the driver put his hand in front of his body and started stroking fast while sneaking a peek at his passenger.
According to the victim in her Facebook post, she was in a hurry so she rode a taxi in BB Marulas, Valenzuela.
“Kinabahan nako pero nilakasan ko loob ko na makuhaan sya ng video,” she said. “Binabayaran ko siya ng tama sa metro, P130 bill ko pero kahit P110 na lang daw,” she added.
This incident happened last Tuesday. The next day she immediately complained at the police station and got Asuncion arrested.
“Sumakit lang ang tiyan ko kaya ginaganyan ko. Mahirap po yun, nagda-drive ako, baka mabangga ako,” driver’s allegation.
“Napapatingin lang, ma’am. Pero di ako nagma-masturbate. Napapatingin lang. Wala naman akong balak na na silipan siya. . . Nakita ko lang sa side mirror,” he added.
He asked forgiveness from the girl and admitted that driving is the only work he can do to feed his family. But the victim was willing to file the case of unjust vexation against the driver.
