“It feels good to be a Filipino” – Jordan Clarkson

In spite of losing the NBA opening season to their opposing team Los Angeles Clippers, Jordan Clarkson, a Fil-Am, still sees a better thing for LA Lakers. He still believes that the team is still the best team in the Southern California area.

Clarkson appeared as a special guest during the 26th Festival of Philippine Arts and Culture (FPAC) held at the Echo Park Lake in Los Angeles, a day before the Lakers experienced a 108-92 loss against clippers.

He is proud of his Filipino culture, the fourth-year guard was with her Filipina mother and grandmother. The event was attended by his fellow Fil-Ams namely, Apl.de.ap of Black Eyed Peas, Jessica Reynoso, DJ Virman, Kronika, Anatalia Villaranda of The Voice Season 12, Bella Fiasco, and Joel Quizon.

Jordan started his short speech with a ‘Mabuhay’ as a greeting to the large Filipino crowd.

“It feels good to be Filipino. It’s my first FPAC (appearance), and I’ve got my whole family here,”

-Clarkson said.

“My grandma came down, and so did my mom. So this is a cool experience for me,”

-he added.

He also said that he will keep on representing LA and also the Filipino community and the Lakers as well.
