In spite of losing the NBA opening season to their opposing team Los Angeles Clippers, Jordan Clarkson, a Fil-Am, still sees a better thing for LA Lakers. He still believes that the team is still the best team in the Southern California area.
Clarkson appeared as a special guest during the 26th Festival of Philippine Arts and Culture (FPAC) held at the Echo Park Lake in Los Angeles, a day before the Lakers experienced a 108-92 loss against clippers.
He is proud of his Filipino culture, the fourth-year guard was with her Filipina mother and grandmother. The event was attended by his fellow Fil-Ams namely, Apl.de.ap of Black Eyed Peas, Jessica Reynoso, DJ Virman, Kronika, Anatalia Villaranda of The Voice Season 12, Bella Fiasco, and Joel Quizon.
Jordan started his short speech with a ‘Mabuhay’ as a greeting to the large Filipino crowd.
“It feels good to be Filipino. It’s my first FPAC (appearance), and I’ve got my whole family here,”
“My grandma came down, and so did my mom. So this is a cool experience for me,”
He also said that he will keep on representing LA and also the Filipino community and the Lakers as well.
