Mayor Cristina Romualdez and Councilor Aimee Delgado-Grafil led the lighting ceremony of the Christmas tree which has a cone-shape at the Rizal Park. It is decorated with glass stained designed as candies and lighted with changing neon lights that can withstand strong winds and even rain.

“We’re doing this every year for everybody, for the families, for the children, for them to have a place to go where they can feel the spirit of Christmas,”

Mayor Cristina said in her message.

The designer of the Christmas tree is Nick Guarino. He also put up gingerbread houses inside the park. If you still remember the fountain at Rizal Park, it is now transformed into a huge lotus-shaped tree. There is also a bazaar at the place where people can buy some of the local delicacies and other souvenir items.
