The marvelous Tarangban Falls is located in Barangay Malaga, Tinambacan District in Calbayog City. It is considered as the most beautiful waterfall in the City of Calbayog and is known to be one of the best waterfalls in the Philippines.
Nature lovers will probably love the place for it is like a paradise. Its magnificent scene is a magnet for local and foreign tourists. The unspoiled falls show a unique form made by nature. The water flows through the big rocks, making it an enchanting landscape.
The waterfall is approximately 4 kilometers away from the highway of the town.
How to get there
You have to ride a van bound for Calbayog City; the travel time is approximately 3.5 hours. Then you have to ride again a van bound for Allen, Northern Samar. Just tell the driver to drop you off at the crossing to Bangon Falls, which is still part of Calbayog City.
You have to communicate with the barangay officials to have a guided trip to the falls. You have to ride a motorcycle up to the hike’s starting point. It will take you an hour or more to reach the falls. You can also see the Bangon Falls, and that is only a 15-minute hike away from the hike’s starting point.

- Wear trekking shoes; the trail to the falls can be slippery and wet especially during rainy seasons.
