The one time-cash assistance worth P5,000 to be given to college students, who were victims of the Super Typhoon Yolanda and enrolled in the 2nd semester for the school year 2016-2017 in public and private schools, is now ready for release.
According to Gabino Petillos, Head of Student Services Division of the Commission on Higher Education Region 8, they are still finalizing the Notice of Awards for SUCs. Next week is the tentative schedule for the fund to be downloaded to the recipient schools.
Petillos added that the students should directly claim the P5,000 cash assistance from their respective schools.
He further assured the over 40,000 students enrolled in the SUCs that the one-time educational grant will be given before September ends.
