Biri was declared to be a protected seascape and landscape by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources in the year 2000. You can reach Biri Island by plane or car. If you are from  Northern Samar’s Catarman National Airport, you will travel to the town of Lavezares and from there, you will ride on a boat that will take you to Biri Island. It will take you 20 minutes to reach your destination. If you will be riding a car you have to go straight to the town of Lavezares. Brace yourself for big waves that you might encounter.
